Programmer/Analyst

Department: Information Systems Department
Reports To: Principal Software Engineer
Location: South Kansas City, MO Plant

Position Overview

This position will develop solutions including requirements gathering, architecture, and coding.  Programmer/Analyst will also assist in troubleshooting and mining data.

Essential Job Functions

  • Partners with users to understand their needs and develop requirements
  • Designs database structures
  • Designs and develops user interfaces
  • Automates processes to integrate the ERP, websites, and other systems
  • Tests solutions, supports solutions, troubleshoots, and resolves issues
  • Performs analysis and data mining
  • Develops reporting solutions
  • Balances system issues and requests from multiple people while keeping projects moving forward
  • Provides solutions that are flexible, scalable, reliable, and can be leveraged for multiple needs
  • Assists and backs up other team members
  • Responds to questions, concerns, and requests in a timely manner

  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analyst skills including the ability to troubleshoot processes
  • Strong C# experience
  • Ability to write complex SQL
  • Data architecture experience
  • Desires challenges, learning, and working with users

Desired Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field
  • MVC skills
  • Experience with CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, and JavaScript
  • Microsoft SQL and T-SQL experience
  • ASP.NET Web Forms and VB.NET experience
  • Experience with ERP functionality such as order processing, accounting, inventory, purchasing, planning, supply chain, sales, CRM, manufacturing, EDI, product development, engineering, and shipping/distribution
  • Working knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks (NHibernate, Entity Framework, etc.)
  • Experience with unit testing
  • Version control experience
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) experience
  • Data warehouse/store design experience
  • Fourth Shift ERP experience
